On August 31, 2026 (Monday) at 10:00 at the Institute of Balkan Studies & Centre of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IBSCT-BAS), 45 Moskovska Street, Sofia, a public defense of the dissertation of doctoral student Nadezhda Zaharieva Yanakieva on the topic "Roads and Buildings in the Balkans According to the Italian Travelogue Tradition (16th–17th Century)" for the acquisition of the educational and scientific degree "doctor" in professional field 3.1. Sociology, Anthropology and Cultural Studies, doctoral program "Theory and History of Culture". Modern and Contemporary History - 1 (one) place, full-time PhD students and 1 (one) place, part-time PhD student.
