CLaDA-BG Consortium meeting, 30-31 January 2020

IMG 20200130 123021On January 30 and 31, 2020, Consortium of the National Interdisciplinary Research E-Infrastructure for Resources and Technologies for the Bulgarian Language and Cultural Heritage, integrated within the European Infrastructures CLARIN-ERIC and DARIAH (CLADA-BG), organized a meeting, which took place at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The aim of the meeting was to present the results of the implementation of Stage 1, as well as to plan activities for the next Stage 2.

The Institute of Balkan Studies & Centre of Thracology participates in the Consortium as partner providing content and expertise. During the meeting, the Coordinator for the IBSCT-BAS Assoc. Prof. Yura Konstantinova, PhD presented a plan for the Institute's activities under CLaDA-BG in 2020. She emphasized that IBSCT-BAS is the only Bulgarian institute providing expertise in the field of history and culture of Southeast Europe for almost six millennia. The Institute has two specialized libraries, archival sources, own publications, various document and materials about the history of Bulgaria and the Balkans, digital encyclopedias and resources that will serve as a basis for content creation and expertise. Assoc. Prof. Konstantinova gave special importance to coordination and training activities, dissemination and publicity, as well as the synergy between participants in the Consortium - technology partners and content providers.
