The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences awarded a young scholar from the IBSCT

A. Milanova coverYoung scientists and scholars from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) were awarded in a competition in the field of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as well as in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. The awards are named after famous scientists from the Academy, as well as foreign members of BAS, on the occasion of their anniversaries.

For 2021 the awards are in the names of Prof. Lotfi A. Zadeh, a foreign member of BAS and Acad. Azarya Polikarov, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of their birth.

Assist. Prof. Alexandra Milanova, PhD from the Institute of Balkan Studies & Centre of Thracology was awarded for her book “From Constantinople to Ioannina. Everyday life in the Balkans through the eyes of François Pouqueville” (Sofia: IBSCT-BAS, 2020). The monograph is part of the implementation of the National Scientific Program Cultural Heritage, National Memory and Social Development, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science by Decision of the Council of Ministers № 577 of August 17, 2018. The book is available in the digital library of the IBSCT-BAS.
